Mid Sussex Marlins Academy section provides a progressive pathway on from swimming lessons and the early Swim England levels / awards. Our swimmers progress and  filter through our club pathway (Competitive and development streams).  Our Academy forms the base of club pathways.

Pathways forward from Academy development squads – Development squads 3 to 1 or Pre competitive / competitive.

Academy sessions take place at various times during the week at The Dolphin in Haywards Heath and The Triangle in Burgess Hill. Our Academy swimmers are eligible to enter our annual club championships and our development gala series.

Minimum Standards: Our expectations are that swimmers wishing to join the club’s Academy section will have reached the following ability:

Junior Academy entry level

Age – 6/ 7 to 9/10
Swim England level 5 or above or working very closely toward this.

​

Academy Development  entry level

Age  – 10/11

Swim England level 7/8 or above or working very closely toward this.

To apply to join please fill in your details on the Join Us form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.  Swimmers wishing to join our Academy will be offered a trial so that we may assess their current level of swimming.  All assessments are by appointment only and we may run a waiting list at times.
